The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) will join law enforcement agencies from Missouri and Oklahoma for a two-week "Seatbelts are for Everyone" (SAFE) program from Feb. 26 to March 8, focusing on drivers not wearing seatbelts around high schools. KHP Superintendent Colonel Erik Smith emphasized the importance of seatbelts in saving lives and preventing injuries, and reminded teens that driving is a privilege.
