North Dakota researchers mark roadkill with pink paint to study wildlife-vehicle collisions. The partnership between UND, NDDOT, and ND Game and Fish aims to learn more about collision frequency, identify trouble spots, and reduce collisions by painting the carcasses. Graduate student Lawson Frey and undergrad Lydia Wilson travel the state to find and mark road-killed wildlife with pink livestock paint.
