NASA's Farside Seismic Suite, adapted from the InSight Mars lander, is set to measure moonquakes on the far side of the moon. The two seismometers, designed to detect over a thousand Red Planet quakes, will be part of a payload to reach Schrödinger basin in 2026. The self-sufficient, solar-powered suite has a computer, communications equipment, and the ability to withstand lunar daytime heat and nighttime cold.
