Indian UN peacekeeper Naik Dhananjay Kumar Singh posthumously receives the Dag Hammarskjold medal.

Indian peacekeeper Naik Dhananjay Kumar Singh, who served in the UN Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo, will be posthumously honoured with the prestigious Dag Hammarskjold medal for his service and sacrifice. The ceremony will be held on May 30th, marking the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers. India is the second-largest contributor of uniformed personnel to UN Peacekeeping.
