Vietnam attracted $11.07bn in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first five months of the year, up 2% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Foreign Investment Agency. The majority of the investment went to new projects, with $7.94bn invested in 1,227 projects, a year-on-year increase of 50.8%. Singapore was the largest investor with nearly $3.25bn, making up 29.3% of the total.
