Verbio is investing $230M to convert South Bend's ethanol plant into a biorefinery, the second of its kind in North America. The new facility will produce both renewable natural gas (RNG) and bioethanol, with a planned production capacity of 85M gallons of corn ethanol and 2.8Bcf of RNG annually. The project is expected to create jobs and contribute to more climate-friendly energy production.
