Tunisian journalists Borhan Bsaiss and Mourad Zghidi were sentenced to one year in prison by a Tunisian court on charges of publishing false news and news intended to insult. Both journalists, who work for IFM radio, were arrested over political comments made on the radio. Critics argue that the 2022 law under which they were charged, Decree 54, is being used to suppress political dissent.
