23-year-old Gokwe woman, Pauline Maganga, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for selling her two-day-old baby in South Africa. Maganga admitted guilt and was found guilty of contravening Zimbabwe's Trafficking in Persons Act. The baby was smuggled into Zimbabwe by an accomplice and placed under the care of the Department of Social Welfare. Maganga was arrested upon her return to Zimbabwe after learning of her accomplice's arrest.
