Two women, Ujunwa Una and Chinelo Igbechionwu, were arrested in Lagos, Nigeria, on September 9, 2024, for allegedly selling two six-day-old twins. They were caught by police while transporting the infants from Abia State, having reportedly been paid ₦150,000 for the delivery. The babies' mother sold them due to an inability to care for them. The case is now with the Gender Unit, and the infants are in a motherless babies' home for care. Investigations continue.
