2-year-old South African child born in Senegalese prison to mother serving drug trafficking sentence is successfully repatriated to South Africa. The child is set to be integrated with their mother's family in the Eastern Cape, and the Department of Social Development will continue providing child protection services and support. This marks the 21st child repatriated from distressing situations abroad by the department since 2015.
