23-year-old Alicia Fairclough was diagnosed with Takayasu's arteritis, one of the world's rarest heart diseases, after a UTI led to a kidney infection. The disease, which affects one to two people per million worldwide, predominantly impacts women. Alicia, who also has hypothyroidism, shared her story to raise awareness of her condition. While there's no cure, Takayasu's arteritis can be managed with treatment.
