ScotRail guards' strikes cancelled following agreement on role retention with RMT union.
ScotRail guards' strikes planned over role disputes have been cancelled after a successful resolution between the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union and ScotRail. The RMT secured the retention of train guards' roles and responsibilities along the Barrhead and East Kilbride route, ensuring conductors continue to dispatch trains and perform safety-critical duties. The strikes scheduled for May 18, 19, 25, 26, and June 1 and 2 have all been called off.
