U.S. airlines are forecasted to carry a record 271 million passengers this summer, up by 6.3% from the previous year, according to Airlines for America. Carriers have adjusted schedules and made significant investments to accommodate the increased number of travelers. The summer travel season from June 1 to August 31 will see over 26,000 daily flights, a 5.6% increase from the 2023 summer season.
