Scottish Justice Secretary introduces bill to exonerate wrongly convicted in Post Office Horizon IT scandal.

Scottish Justice Secretary Angela Constance introduced emergency legislation to exonerate those wrongly convicted due to the Post Office Horizon IT scandal. The Post Office (Horizon System) Offences (Scotland) Bill will quash convictions and allow those exonerated to access the UK Government's financial redress scheme. The UK Government refused to extend its legislation to Scotland, arguing it has a separate legal system.
