46-year-old Sam Cornwell, a skydiver from Hampshire, died after his parachute failed to open during a jump near Shotton airfield in County Durham on April 28. Durham Police are treating his death as "unexpected" and are investigating the incident. Cornwell was working for Sky-High Skydiving at the time. The company, along with British Skydiving, are collaborating with the police in their investigation.
