Sam Lilley, a 28-year-old American Airlines pilot from Savannah, Georgia, was laid to rest after tragically dying in a midair collision in Washington, D.C. His body was flown home with an honor guard and a water cannon salute at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Lilley, who grew up in Richmond Hill and studied marketing, was celebrated for his service. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
