Two Greek engineers, Konstantinos Atsalis, 57, chief engineer, and Sonny Bosito, 54, second engineer, on the oil tanker Kriti Ruby admitted to illegally dumping oily waste off the New Jersey coast and attempting to cover it up. They each face a maximum penalty of six years in prison and a $250,000 fine for violating the act to prevent pollution from ships. Their sentencing is scheduled for October 22.
