11 suspected oil thieves and a vessel, MT SAISNIL II, were arrested by the Nigerian Navy for alleged involvement in illegal oil bunkering and AIS infractions at Abo Oilfield, Ogogoro Community, Ondo State. The Nigerian Navy handed over the suspects and vessel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for investigation. The EFCC plans to charge the suspects to court after concluding its investigations in Lagos.
