Court of Appeal overturns Auriol Grey's manslaughter conviction for causing a cyclist's death in 2020.

Court of Appeal has overturned the manslaughter conviction of Auriol Grey, a woman with cerebral palsy and partial blindness, who was jailed for three years for causing the death of a cyclist in 2020. Grey had shouted at retired midwife Celia Ward to "get off the pavement," which caused Ward to fall into the road and be struck by a car. The appeal judges found the prosecution case "insufficient" and that Grey's conviction was "unsafe."
