Queensland's state parliament has passed a bill to decriminalise the sex work industry, protecting sex workers from unfair discrimination and repealing criminal offences specifically targeting them. The new laws will also create new offences to safeguard children and prohibit coercion in sex work. Queensland joins Victoria, the Northern Territory, and NSW as the fourth Australian jurisdiction to decriminalise sex work.
