When asked by The Canadian Press, most provinces did not directly address the question and instead provided lists of initiatives addressing the housing crisis. Quebec's response inadvertently revealed the government's lack of interest in the issue. Newfoundland and Labrador agreed with federal and international law recognizing housing as a human right, but no other provinces have followed suit.
