17-year-old arrested for 2023 Easter Sunday homicide in Fountain. The Fountain Police Department (FPD) identified a suspect in the year-long investigation of the death of 31-year-old Christian Cook, found near railroad tracks in April 2023. A juvenile arrest warrant was obtained for Second-Degree Murder, and the teen was taken into custody on April 22, 2024. Cook's body was discovered by a BNSF Railway employee, and his death was ruled a homicide by the El Paso County Coroner's Office.
