21-year-old activist Lazare Grigoriadis, who threw stones and Molotov cocktails at police during anti-transparency protests, received a pardon from Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili. Grigoriadis was initially sentenced to 9 years in prison, but Zourabichvili stated her conscience led her to believe he should not face such a long sentence. Grigoriadis is expected to leave the penitentiary facility soon.
