Minister Humphreys announces €40 million for Local Improvement Scheme (LIS) to repair rural laneways across Ireland, with Cavan receiving €1.2 million, followed by Monaghan, Longford, Leitrim, and Meath. The record investment will be used for repairs and improvement works on non-public rural roads and laneways. Since its re-introduction in 2017, nearly €170 million has been allocated to local authorities under the scheme.
