The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, has announced a €4.5 million package to support rural towns and villages in Ireland. This includes the establishment of a new Town Team Support Fund, up to €50,000 in funding for projects under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme, and up to €30,000 in funding for towns to develop their own Town Centre First Plans. These measures are aimed at revitalizing rural communities and addressing specific challenges faced in the North West region.
