Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Akwa Ibom State arrested nine suspects for illegal petroleum product dealings and impounded three trucks with 135,000 litres of products. The Anti-vandal Unit of the NSCDC made the arrest on July 14 along Ikot Abasi-Port Harcourt Expressway. The suspects were unable to provide required documentation, leading to their arrest and the impoundment of their trucks.
