Man Charged With Stealing Over €1,700 from Donegal Cathedral During Funeral Appears in Court A 43-year-old man, Ireneusz Matras, has appeared in court charged with stealing over €1,700 from St Eunan's Cathedral in Letterkenny during a funeral. Matras allegedly stole €1,754.55 and £6.13 from the sacristy after a collection was taken from parishioners during a midday Funeral Mass. The incident occurred on April 14th, and Matras was arrested shortly after by detectives. He is charged under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
