An Ontario tunnelling company, Technicore Underground Inc., and its supervisor, Joseph Di Millo, face charges of criminal negligence causing death following the fatal accident of a worker, Joaquim Silva, on December 2, 2022. Silva, 54, was servicing a damaged pipeline when he suffered fatal injuries. The company and supervisor are scheduled to appear in court at different dates.
