27-year-old woman Ekta, found dead in Punjab's Mohali district, was allegedly killed by her male friend, Anas Qureshi (30). Qureshi fled the scene in Ekta's car and later suffered serious injuries in a road accident in Haryana, 70 km away from Mohali. Ekta, who worked at a private company, was discovered with multiple injuries on her neck. Police are currently investigating the case.
