22-year-old woman Anisha Barasta Khatun was allegedly strangled to death by her live-in partner Minazuddin Abdul Ajij Mulla for insisting on marriage in Palghar district, Maharashtra. The crime was discovered on March 15 when her decomposed body was found in the rented room they shared. Mulla, arrested on March 22 in West Bengal, initially posed as her husband using a false identity.
