43-year-old Amir Wani from Hadipora village in Sopore, J&K, was arrested for allegedly murdering his mother. The middle-aged woman was attacked with a sharp weapon during the night of April 14th-15th. Wani, a local driver, was apprehended by police within hours of the crime. An FIR has been registered, and the victim's body is undergoing medico-legal formalities. The motive behind the murder remains unclear.
