25-year-old Amit Kumar was stabbed to death in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, after a dispute with the woman he planned to marry and her family over her parents arranging her marriage elsewhere. Amit died of his injuries despite hospital treatment. Seven family members, including the woman, were arrested in connection with the incident, and an FIR of murder has been registered.
