102-year-old Lou Conter, the last known survivor of the USS Arizona battleship that exploded during the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, has died. Conter, who was a quartermaster onboard the ship, passed away at his home in Grass Valley, California, due to congestive heart failure. The USS Arizona sank in the 1941 attack, resulting in the loss of 1,177 sailors and Marines, almost half of those killed in the surprise attack.
