1957's Tropicana Las Vegas, known as "Tiffany of the Strip," closes next week to make way for a new MLB stadium hosting Oakland A's from 2028.

Las Vegas' Tropicana resort, which opened in 1957 and was once the city's most expensive resort, will close next week. The resort, known as the "Tiffany of the Strip," will be demolished later this year to make way for a new Major League Baseball stadium, expected to host the Oakland A's from 2028. The Tropicana was famous for hosting the city's longest-running show, the Folies Bergère cabaret, and was a favorite of James Bond.
