Tropicana Las Vegas, a hotel on the Strip, is set to be imploded on Oct 9, 2019, to make way for Oakland A's $1.5 billion ballpark. The 22-story Tropicana Club and Paradise Tower will be imploded, with a drone and fireworks show by Fireworks by Grucci. The A's have 13 home games left in Oakland, then will play in Sacramento for 3 years while waiting for the Las Vegas ballpark's construction in 2028.
