Kansas City police fatally shot a man who allegedly pointed a gun at officers during a call response.

Kansas City police shot and killed a man who allegedly pointed a gun at officers in the 4000 block of Myrtle Avenue early Sunday morning. The officers were responding to a call for help around 5:50 a.m. and tried to negotiate with the individual for several minutes before he allegedly pointed the gun at the officers. This marks the 31st homicide in Kansas City this year.
