51 prisoners have been sentenced to five years in prison in connection with the attack on Gujranwala cantonment following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan on May 9, 2018. The anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Gujranwala found the convicts guilty of charges including blocking roads, damaging property, and unlawful assembly. This is the first conviction in cases registered against PTI leaders, workers, and supporters in connection with the May 9 riots across Pakistan.
