Fuel drained from leaking tanks in Hawaii's Pearl Harbo.

The US military has completed draining 104 million gallons of fuel from an underground tank complex in Hawaii that leaked jet fuel into Pearl Harbor's drinking water in 2021, affecting 6,000 people. The Joint Task Force Red Hill defueled the tanks, finishing repairs to an aging network of pipes to prevent further leaks. The Navy is now responsible for permanently decommissioning the tanks, cleaning the environment, and restoring the aquifer beneath.
