Irish nurses and midwives refer HSE recruitment freeze to Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), citing detrimental impact on patient and staff safety. The freeze, extended in November to nearly all staff and grades, has been criticised by politicians, unions, and the Irish Medical Organisation for compromising patient care. INMO General Secretary, Phil Ní Sheaghdha, claims the freeze poses a health and safety risk.
