This magnetic field closely resembles the one surrounding M87's black hole, indicating that strong magnetic fields may be a common feature of black holes. The magnetic field around M87's black hole enables it to launch powerful jets of material into space, suggesting that similar jets might exist around Sgr A* and remain undetected to date.
