South Korea and Japan signed a MOC to collaborate on satellite navigation systems in East Asia, with KPS and QZSS.

South Korea and Japan have signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOC) to collaborate on developing and operating regional satellite navigation systems in East Asia, with South Korea's Korean Positioning System (KPS) and Japan's Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS). The aim is to allow both systems to coexist and interoperate. Seoul's Ministry of Science and ICT also plans to cooperate with other countries with satellite navigation systems, including European nations and India.
