South Korea aims to develop 39 new semiconductor standards by 2031, with U.S. collaboration.

South Korea's standards agency, KATS, plans to develop 39 new international standards in semiconductors by 2031 to boost its competitive edge. By 2027, over 15 new standards are targeted. KATS is collaborating with the U.S. through a joint standards development initiative and has signed a memorandum of understanding with American standards bodies to enhance bilateral cooperation on international platforms.
