81-year-old Brazilian woman, Daniela Vera, died after undergoing surgery to remove a 56-year-old calcified fetus from her abdomen due to lithopedion, a rare condition where a dead fetus from an ectopic pregnancy isn't absorbed by the body. Despite experiencing abdominal pain since her first pregnancy, doctors failed to spot the condition until 3D scans revealed it. She passed away following an infection.
