Mumbai's District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission orders Axis Bank and New India Assurance to pay Rs 30 lakh insurance claim with interest to a policeman injured in an accident in 2017. The policeman suffered permanent disabilities and the commission found that the bank and insurance company had wrongly rejected his claim. The commission also ordered compensation for mental agony and litigation costs.
