A Malaysian security guard wins RM1.8 million in damages due to medical negligence causing brain injury.

A former security guard in Malaysia, P. Thinnagaran, has been awarded RM1.8 million in damages due to medical negligence. The 28-year-old suffered a brain injury during treatment for a motorcycle accident in 2016. The Taiping High Court found that the government, hospital director, and three doctors were responsible for failing to properly diagnose and treat Thinnagaran, leading to his permanent injury.
