Wholesale electricity prices in Ireland fell by 29.5% in 12 months to April, according to CSO.

Wholesale electricity prices in Ireland fell by almost 30% in the 12 months to April, according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO). Despite a slight increase between March and April this year, prices were 29.5% lower than a year ago, and have decreased by 59.4% since April 2022 and 77.2% since the peak in August 2022. This decline in wholesale prices could indicate lower costs for consumers in the future.
