Mason apprentice Ebenezer Kwayisi received a 30-year prison sentence for his role in the murder of University of Ghana law lecturer, Professor Emmanuel Yaw Benneh. Kwayisi pleaded guilty to abetment to manslaughter as part of a plea deal, resulting in a lesser sentence than murder charges. The crime, which took place in September 2020, involved the assault and strangulation of Professor Benneh at his residence.
