47-year-old Kedibone Nyathi of Limpopo was sentenced to 25 years in prison for orchestrating her husband's murder in December 2022 to collect insurance payouts. She initially faced charges with three teenagers, who testified against her. The three teenagers, aged 18-19, were sentenced to 10-8 years in prison after entering a plea agreement. Nyathi admitted to hiring them for a fee of R15,000 and staging a hijacking to facilitate the murder.
