Assam Police arrested top ISIS leaders, Haris Farooqi (head of ISIS India) and his associate Anurag Singh, near the international border after they crossed from Bangladesh. Both individuals were wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and were captured in the Dharmasala area of Dhubri. They were involved in recruitment, terror funding, and planning terror acts using improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The arrested individuals are set to be handed over to the NIA.
