J&K police arrested a Budgam youth, Waseem Ahmed Shaikh, who was about to join terrorist ranks on the influence of some Pakistani-based terrorist handlers. The police stated that Shaikh was a part of many WhatsApp and Telegram groups associated with terrorist outfits, and further investigation is underway to identify other members. Ansar Gazwat-Ul-Hind, an offshoot of ISIS/ISKP, is reportedly attempting to re-establish its base and revive its cadres in Kashmir.
